Donny T is at his antics again by freezing ‘aid’ to South Africa over the expropriation laws in South Africa. Elon Musk is using X as the mouthpiece for pushing this white genocide agenda and it’s all become another circus.
Anyway, you are on my platform because I demistify the conversations on Africa and diaspora. I will be clarifying this situation for you. Before we get into the stupidity of Trump’s actions, it’s important you understand exactly what is going on in South Africa and why this has become an issue.
PAY ATTENTION
The Expropriation Act is now law in South Africa, allowing Cyril Rampahosa’s government to seize land without compensation if deemed in the “public interest.”
This isn’t charity—it’s redress for centuries of land theft under apartheid that left Black South Africans dispossessed while white settlers built empires on stolen soil.
But how is it being executed?
Slowly, with resistance from entrenched landowners.
The government claims it will focus on unused, abandoned, or state-owned land, yet grassroots activists demand bolder action. The bureaucratic machine grinds forward, but decades of legal loopholes and court battles could still stall meaningful redistribution.
Meanwhile, the international outcry is loud and hypocritical.
Foreign powers that profited from colonialism now cry foul over “property rights.” But the truth remains: land stolen must be returned. South Africa stands at the edge of a reckoning—justice delayed cannot be justice denied.

So back to Donny T.
He thinks he’s making a statement by cutting off U.S. aid to South Africa.
But here’s the reality: South Africa gives the U.S. far more than it takes.
This isn’t punishment—it’s performative nonsense.
A dogwhistle to white supremacists and nationalists all over America and the world. That is the reason why it’s being framed as ‘anti-white discrimination.’
Where were all these white commentators talking about racism and discrimination when black South Africans have been suffering for the last hundred years?
Where are they for the conversations about the fact the white minority still own 70-80% of the wealth of the nation while the black majority are in open air concentration camps called townships?
And all this talk about ‘aid’? Seriously?
The U.S. sends about $440 million in aid, mostly for HIV/AIDS programs—programs that benefit American pharmaceutical companies selling life-saving drugs.
That sum is the same as the box office haul of an average big budget tentpole Marvel movie in the summer. Many of their movies do double that.
Meanwhile, South Africa exports $4.57 BILLION in critical minerals and resources to the U.S.—TEN TIMES the value of Trump’s so-called “punishment.”
A LOOK AT THE ACTUAL NUMBERS
🔥 Platinum & Precious Metals ($2.95B) – The U.S. depends on South Africa for platinum, used in cars, medical devices, and tech. Without it? Whole industries stall.
🔥 Iron & Steel ($418M), Aluminum ($596M), Nickel ($153M) – The metals keeping American factories running? A lot of it comes from South Africa.
🔥 Manganese & Chromium – The U.S. imports nearly 100% of its chromium from South Africa—a mineral essential for defense, aerospace, and high-grade steel.
🔥 Titanium – Over 25% of U.S. titanium comes from South Africa—used in fighter jets, spacecraft, and medical implants.
Now tell me—who’s really dependent on who?
If South Africa cut exports tomorrow, the impact on U.S. manufacturing, defense, and industry would be catastrophic. Meanwhile, that $440 million? South Africa could replace it in a heartbeat—China, Russia, BRICS… the world is changing, and the U.S. isn’t the only game in town.
So what’s Trump really doing?
This isn’t about strength—it’s smoke and mirrors.
A desperate move to look tough in the face of those who have disdain or a prejudiced view of black people while ignoring the fact that America NEEDS South Africa.
So what happens if South Africa decides to return the favour?
