Excellent Discussion. I would like to take action. I do not have formal economics education. My background is medical science (MD) and technology (developer). I designed a project to rescue Nigeria. I summarize the project in this youtube playlist.
To summarize my project; there are 2.3 million Nigerians in IDP camps via Jihadist land grab.
They normally never get back to their farmland. My project would get 15,000 to 30,000 resettled on their land safely, I would give them modern farming machines to grow produce at 100x to 1000x above their normal subsistence. ($4 million dollars for farming equipment for 50,000 acres.) The economic benefit would make this economically sustainable. to maintain their safety and prosperity and grow it to other locations. The project would be kept safe by the latest technology - to keep all the defense away from the community and children. This accomplishes a great deal.
My challenge with the project is that Nigerians have given up hope.
The big speakers on twitter spaces are skeptical and afraid, They expect embezzlement & more. They are not promoting it to the Nigerian diaspora. I am Black American Pan Africanist. We don't have a culture of embezzling in the USA b/c law enforcement is extremely efficient. So I have no intention on embezzling. It would be set up as a social enterprise where investors will get their return. I need to do fund raising. I know a lot of Nigerians in the diaspora from medical school, but i think they would appreciate someone from Nigeria such as you merc to give them some assurances. My initiative can be set up very transparently. I have business plan ready to go. The project requires courage and willingness to manage everything that could potentially come with it. Support would be appreciated. i would be happy for an opportunity to talk to you about this project. The youtube playlist is just an overview.
That is exactly why the project is not working. Because no Nigerian wants to commit to or support the project. That's why there are 2.3 million Nigerians in IDP camps with no hopes of returning to their farmland. Both the fulani militia and the Nigerian military have side by side killed Plateau state residents. I have not met any Nigerian who is motivated to end them for this and get the people back to their land. Nigerians seem to be content to continue life as though nothing happened. That's why there are 2.3 million in IDP camps. The impact of completing this project would be far more impactful than writing Nigeria's past history because this would be creating a better future. I have never met a Nigerian who asked - ok how can I help to make this a reality.
Hi I understand your frustration but you have to take into account the workload I have. The work I do for my platform is non paid and I essentially work for free to give my community what I do. There is no way that I would be able to take on something of the magnitude you speak of here and give it the attention it deserves while managing a tiktok, youtube, instagram, patreon, twitter and substack page. The research and effort that goes into this is astronomical and I only do it because I know the community needs it. There are many battles to be fought in Africa and we individually can't fight them all. We must choose and it is best to not make promises that can't be kept. If you wanted me to share a post or info that is a conversation we could have. I am sure your venture will be great should you manage to get it off the ground.
Thank you very for the feedback. I understand it's a lot of work making regular videos & content.

The site that you have created here is brilliant & necessary. I would not be able to present so openly on the big social media sites. My tiktok, twitter and youtube are battlegrounds of suppression, b/c my focus is on solutions, and they don't want solutions. They do not want anything to reverse the jihadists land grabbing in Nigeria because they have big plans for those lands. They want to turn Nigeria's lands into vast mining e pits like you see in the Congo. Therefore, this site is a great opportunity for open discussions.

This video was confirms everything I already knew, but, it was good to hear other people stating it openly. I knew years ago that Africa could easily create their own currency, set all the rules around it and thrive.
Since they won't do it nationally, it could be done locally.
I wrote a FREE ebook on the topic of time-based currency and specifically how to implement it in Nigeria farming communities to create progress. You & everyone can get my free ebook on the topic right here.
Time-based currency stands in the place of absent national currency to allow economic exchanges. I can set it up as part of my program. I made some effort to set it up in 2022, remotely. But i was told that I would need to be there. I realize the people are traumatized by the treatment from the gov't so i would gladly set it up myself. The benefits of setting up this time-based currency follows"
1. it will mobilize the untapped labor force with the complementary currency to build the regular economy. Eg., Farmers who once could not afford help would be able to do so. Schools that at one time could not afford teachers would be able to compensate them generally.
2. it can be used to ensure that ALL children receive an education and a great deal more. Therefore 20.3 million Nigerian school children who are not in school at a time. This could solve much of that problem one local government at a time.
My free Ebook explains it all and the steps to make it happen. But i'm happy to set it up when I get there. #Solutions

My project to return Farmers back to the land, establish, safety and 1000x their farming, would be an awesome achievement for Nigeria. With just 50,000 acres of farmland they farmers would earn millions and my company would earn a small percent of that along with investors.
---
I understand that you are busy, but if you wanted to assist with this project, here's what you could do in 3 steps.
(1) doing a critical review of my project for 3+ Local Government Areas in Plateau State Nigeria.
Here's the current business plan. (it assumes the farming machines are already purchased,, but the machines for 50,000 acres of land would be 4 million from commercial loan or partnership and the loan would be paid back in 4 years. Despite the loan , the farmers would still earn millions per harvest an they have 2 or 3 year harvest. Peter Obi said nigeria could make more from agriculture than they could from oil this is true.
(2) You can ask me all the questions you want over Zoom
(3) Then if you find it a valuable project - if you could share a few good words about it, that would go along way.
(I have read between the line, I understand what you woul dneed to support your effort)
The Nigerian Diaspora who returns $20 billion US dollars to Nigeria are busy working professionals. They do not have the time to read any business plan etc., They would rely on other Nigerian voices to commend the program to them.
---
I am inviting Nigerians to invest in this social enterprise as an LLC partner and gain between 5% to 25%. return on the profits of my social enterprise Guardians of Greatness.
The people I know can complete the fundraising quickly. They would just like to see that some respectful Nigerians are onboard etc.,
This effort would be worth your time.

Example Question you might aask me: How would I protect the farmers -
from ongoing jihadist violence - Answer is with a swarm of 200+ autonomous quadcopters. Wide buffer zones would be drawn. Jihadist would be engaged and kept 2 kilometers away to ensure children and community are not traumatized by jihadist attacks.
Why? Jihadists massacre up to 200 people who have absolutely no defense. Those people remind me of my parents. In IDP camps they starve and are subject to attacks. I an get them back on their lands - safely and quietly. And I'm not afraid of the opposition at all .Your support would be appreciated. Feel free to talk to me on Zoom when you are ready.
correction: "2 or 3 year harvest" = The people in Plateau state have 2 or 3 harvests per year depending on the crop grown. Therefore their revenue potential is tremendous with modern farming machine. - which is necessary to create a sustainable project.
I *can get them back on their lands - safely and quietly.
Great conversation, very informative and very engaging. I think it is high time people of goodwill all over the world come together and engage themselves in great conversations like this for the benefit of all irrespective of our differences. We are all human and face similar challenges all over the world and we need to come together to solve the challenges for the good and benefits of all.
Actually, all you need is a tiny group of people to solve major problems.
if you have 1% to 3% of a population - fully committed & unified - on a mission such as establishing an independent currency for Africa, or installing the correct leadership in Nigeria, 1% to 3% of the population would be more than enough to get the job done.

RE: The problem you are having on tiktok: A backdoor portal was created for certain groups to control the discussion. That group has been harassing people - especially Black people - by challenging every other posts, far more aggressively than any other social media platform to make people leave tiktok. A Back door portal might even be placed on substack to make things go funny here. I recommend that you also set up a group on the Signal messenger app - or you can run the risk of losing contact with your audience again.
@The Merc, this was a highly insightful and intelligent conversation. It was very much needed between the two races, as you both provided information that can help bridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots. I know your host and have followed him on social media for under a year, so I understand his perspective. Regardless of the facts, I’m not surprised by his view on how things in Nigeria are in Africa. His suggestion that our people stand up and just say no was often a little frustrating; he comes across as tone-deaf despite not being blind to what's happening. But if you continue to work with him, I hope he understands the plight in front of us all. Hey, we are all learning, so can’t be too harsh.
Also, your point on the esoteric understanding of what’s going on is valid in the whole make-up of this system. But it will go over many people's heads, especially those with just a financial mindset. Alas, please keep going and forging unexpected alliances. We need to move forward. I can’t wait for these historical accounts of the many different African countries. One day, I hope to be in the position to turn these into visuals with you. Take care, brotha!

Time-based currency is a legal complementary currency used world wide but not in Black/African communities that need it the most.
Time-based currency even has an entry in wikipedia.
