This is SUCH an important story, and of course it is being totally suppressed and ignored in corporate media globally. The facts are straightforward and obvious, and DAMNING. Thank you for sharing them so plainly and articulately. This is reminiscent of the similar "blood diamond" story. Such grotesque abuse, historical and ongoing, of the resources (and peoples) of the African continent has been a mainstay of western extractive colonial policy. I add my response to a recent post on Substack called Ohio Barbarian's Revolutionary American Policy:

Highly informative. The bottom line is that, as has historically been the case, the bloody and deadly intra-African conflicts are ultimately facilitated and exploited in the interest of the never-ending diabolical policies of massive resource extraction by western countries, resulting in wars, disease, displacement, starvation and death for the African people. It's a despicable reality.
