There has been much discussion over the history of ancient Egypt. What is unfortunate is that the conversation has been dominated and driven by non-Africans and more specifically non-black people. The result has been the almost complete erasure of black folks from the history of ancient Egypt. While this article won't be focused on ancient Egyptian history, you can check out my five-part Cleopatra series for that.
