Money Does Grow On Trees
Carbon Offsets and the investment opportunity for the future environmental economy
One of the most important things to our progress on the continent of Africa is going to be our ability to harness innovation. In that I mean we need to develop a stronger sense of future opportunities. Something we’ve never cultivated as a community is a desire to be first. This is understandable based on our history. It’s not that we can’t innovate, in fact we have been some of the world’s greatest inventors.
The issue is the will to take responsibility for stepping forward alone into uncharted territory unafraid of sabotage. This isn’t irrational as history has shown this to be the case. This is why we haven’t had another Black Wall Street in America or the establishment of a single African currency. It. Is. Fear.
So imagine the next great financial opportunity may lie in the very nature that surrounds all of us in Africa? Are we going to sit on our hands and miss out on the future of the environmental economy?
