In a story straight out of Greek mythology, the political landscape in Chad experienced significant transformations since April 2021, when President Idriss Déby was killed on the battlefield while confronting insurgents. When I heard about this story I thought it was a hoax because seriously, what president in the modern era actually goes into battle with his troops on the battlefield let alone on the front lines?
